Thanks Bob, Thanks Dave, but a special thanks to Carmen for noting with pride on the condition and appeal of WW and the grounds. I had been in conversation with Mayell  few years ago regarding applying for local landmark status at WW.  He wanted to help if he could. Carol & I researched the process of applying for local landmark status with the help of "Preserve the Burg". Some perks, some drawbacks & limitations. I have friends on both sides that make sense. (another time if at all.)
Great to hear Carmen keeps in touch with Tony, and has a soft spot for WW.

I’m so happy to see Tony’s long-time talent, efforts and work ethic being recognized so genuinely by the builder’s son, whom I’m sure has the bar raised as high as Tony always does.  I’m also sure Tony is taking it all with a grain of salt 😍.

Hi all;

This is the kind of good news story that I am pleased to share with all WW owners.  Written (below) by Bob Bennett with my bold text for emphasis.

Imagine a builder of repute, having constructed a number of significant projects, and some similar to Whispering Waters, that regularly returns to visit his favorite.

We are the beneficiary of this pride, carried on through his son, and with perhaps more than a little bias, I think we all tend to agree that WW is a very special place.

Carmen is also correct, IMO, believing that Tony Cappelli deserves our ongoing appreciation for showing the way and leading our volunteers for the betterment of WW.

Thank you Bob, for passing Carmen's message.

Best regards all.

Please stay safe wherever you may be, during this pandemic that just won't quit.

Hi Dave,

Just thought I should pass this along to you.

Last week we had a visit from Carmen Mayell, son of the Whispering Waters builder

He happened to be in St Pete for some business, so he, and wife and son stopped in to say hello to Tony.  He was just 5 years old when he first met Tony, and is now in his mid-fifties.

He does visit from time to time, when he happens to be nearby, and on previous visits he talked to me, and also Burt and Carol.

Once again, he reiterated that our Whispering Waters was always considered by his father to be the best project he ever built, and was totally proud of the way it has been maintained over the years.  Unspoken, but obvious from his remarks, was the fact that the Mayell family lays much of the credit on Tony.

As do we.

Cheers,

Bob
