Salutations;
The Social Forum has been in existence for about two months now and it's nice to see the number of people who are taking an interest.
As you may recall, the Social Forum was developed to ensure that mostly positive and supportive and modest stories or events are published.
It was initially established that the two Social Committee chairs were and are authorized to moderate submissions. The chairs receive email notifications that a submission to the forum has been received that requires their attention. That means that, if in their opinion, the submission is or can be considered negative or insulting, then it would be rejected and not approved for publishing. Otherwise, it's approved and released for publishing to the entire WW list.
The forum list is completely separate from the WW owners list and owners can subscribe or unsubscribe from the forum list without affecting the main WW business email list.
As it turns out at this point in time, the two chairs have requested that I perform the actual computer work, typically after they have viewed and approved the submission, but not necessarily if their software is not conveniently able to display mp4 files, for example. IOW, sometimes I am left to my own discretion.
To get the system going smoothly, a number of people have sent (and still do) me their suggestions, then I clean them up, removing extraneous forwarding residual effects, etc, and submit the item on their behalf. No specific mention of the source of the story might apply in some cases, per their request because they don't want the credit or for some other reason.
As it relates the recent pool story, the article was generated by Joanne, but from information provided from various sources, and it was not signed to avoid stepping on the many contributors. So much as some might like to know the source, sometimes for the greater good, the source may be omitted. In any case, it's a great 'good news' story for Whispering Waters.
So now that everyone understands the positive goals and supportive objectives of this Social Forum, we hope that more folks will join in to become prolific and encouraging contributors as well:-).
Best Regards,
Dave Wilson

Hey, Folks -- whoever you are: Can you please tell me -- who receives e-mails sent to whisperingwaters.social@mailman3-lists.com? If we submit a joke or else anything to that address, does someone review it before forwarding it to the community? If so, who is authorized to do the review. Also, when you send out items like the report on pool party, it would be nice to know who wrote it. I'm not fond about us forwarding anonymous e-mails. It would be good if items like this were signed. (I assume the pool party story was written by Joe J.?) Thanks, Paul B. *Wonderful things are happening at WW*
The pool, Bar B Que and Shuffle Board courts were busy on Memorial Weekend.
And better yet, Barbara Specht went swimming with the party-goers. She said she was afraid to swim alone and asked if she could join them.
She said she had NOT used the pool in years.
The party-goers were delighted she wanted to join them.
Thank you, condo friends, for making Barbara's day.
What a fun weekend for all.
We also learned some birthdays of WW owners
Cindy Topher in B5-U2
Emily Cox B1-5 and Randy Schmidt B2-U3
have birthdays on June 3rd and realized they were born one hour apart.
It is great to see the pool being upgraded with new chairs and umbrellas for all to use and enjoy.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL
ENJOY YOUR SPECIAL DAY
